Editorial Standards

Facts first

We never invent stories, quotes or facts. Headlines come from the outlets that reported them and every one links to the original article. When we write opinion, every factual claim links to a public record or to news reporting.

News and opinion are separate

Opinion is marked with a red Opinion label and kept in its own section. Opinion pieces are written by Faithful Herald Staff and reflect a conservative, Christian perspective.

Selection

Our editors choose which outlets to include and how stories are ordered, with priority on stories that matter to families of faith. We include a range of outlets so readers can compare coverage.

Fairness and respect

We criticize ideas and actions, not people's dignity. We do not publish slurs, threats or personal attacks, and community comments are moderated with the same rules.

Corrections

When we get something wrong, we fix it and say so on the page. Send corrections to our contact address.

Independence

No outlet, campaign or advertiser decides what we cover. If we ever show advertising, ads will be clearly marked and kept apart from news and opinion.
